Crane Court
   1) West out of Lambeth Hill in Castle Baynard Ward (O. and M. 1677-Elmes, 1831). Between Peter's Hill and Lambeth Hill near Heralds' College.
   Site rebuilt for the formation of Queen Victoria Street
   2) North out of Fleet Street at No. 174, east of Fetter Lane (P.O. Directory). In Farringdon Ward Without.
   First mention: 1662 (L. and P. Chas. II., II. 416).
   Burnt in the Fire and rebuilt.
   House occupied by Messrs. Whelpton in the Court, No. 4, bears date 1671, and is a good example of the architecture of the buildings erected after the Fire.
   Wheatley says the Court was called Two Crane Court originally, but he gives no authority for the statement.
   3) East out of Old Change, in Farringdon Ward Within (O. and M. 1677-Boyle, 1799).
   Site now occupied by offices and business houses.
   4) Out of Aldersgate Street (P.C. I 732-Boyle, 1799).
