Ropemaker Street
   East from Moor Lane, at No.34, to 99 Finsbury Pavement (P.O. Directory).
   The south side of the street in Cripplegate Ward Without and Coleman Street Ward, the northern side outside the City boundary in the borough of Finsbury.
   First mention: There was a Presbyterian Meeting house in "Ropemakers Alley" in 1672 (L. and P. Chas. II. XII. 273).
   Called " Ropemakers Street,' (Horwood, 1799).
   "Ropemakers Alley" (Hatton, 1708-Boyle, 1799).
