   1) East out of Creechurch Lane. In Aldgate Ward (O.S. 1875).
   First mention: P.C. 1732.
   Called "Three Hand Court" (Horwood, 1799) and by both names in Lockie, 1816.
   Rebuilt for offices, etc.
   2) East out of Red Cross Street at No.57, in Cripplegate Ward Without (P.O. Directory).
   First mention: O. and M. 1677.
   Name derived from the sign.
